About

The Food Compliance Desk

TFCD is made by Dan Hill, who has worked in food manufacturing and builds automation and AI systems. It's for technical managers, QA teams, auditors and anyone who keeps a food site compliant and wants practical ways to spend less time on reformatting and more on judgement.

Each weekly episode (about 10 minutes) takes one realistic workplace problem, sets out what BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 actually expects, and demonstrates a practical approach, including its limits. Quick Guides (about 30 seconds) show a single useful Copilot prompt for a specific task.

Episodes are narrated with an AI voice clone of the presenter. Copilot screens are illustrative recreations using dummy data, not live captures. Every script passes an automated quality check for accuracy, BRCGS references, tone and safety before it's published.

Principles

  • The scenario comes first. The technology is the tool used to solve it.
  • AI drafts. A competent person verifies and decides. Always.
  • BRCGS clauses are described in plain English. What the Standard requires, what's good practice and where technology helps are kept separate.
  • Every demo uses dummy data, and says which Copilot tier it assumes.

Publishing

One episode of about ten minutes every Thursday, and a 30-second Quick Guide every other day.

TFCD content is general guidance, not professional advice for your site. Always check requirements against your own licensed copy of the BRCGS Standard and your customers' codes of practice.
